Coconut palm sugar has gained increasing attention as a natural sweetener. Coconut palm sugar is primarily sucrose—about 70 to 80 percent—meaning its fructose content is comparable to that of refined sugar. Excessive consumption of either can still contribute to health issues such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.
