Initiated by Dang Huynh Uc My, CocoNext was conceived as a platform designed to connect and empower stakeholders across the global coconut value chain. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Uc My reaffirmed the event’s mission — to guide the coconut industry toward a more resilient and innovation-driven future.
She emphasized that Vietnam, particularly Ben Tre – the “Kingdom of Coconuts”, will play a central role as a global hub for research, development, and sustainable innovation. As part of Familion’s commitment to meaningful event production, CocoNext 2024 showcased how creativity and science can merge to transform the coconut tree into a source of sustainable prosperity. The event’s exhibits featured innovative technologies developed by Betrimex, such as digital agriculture models and traceability systems, which allow every part of the coconut — from its leaves and flowers to its husk and roots — to be turned into high-value products.
Coconut water, meat, and oil are now processed into beverages, milk, creams, and yogurt, while the husk and trunk are being reinvented into eco-friendly materials like activated carbon, charcoal, and pallets. These innovations not only reduce waste but also open new opportunities for global export markets.
Technology-Driven Growth
At Betrimex, a fully integrated digital model ensures end-to-end efficiency across the value chain — from agricultural research to production and delivery. The company operates on the ERP-SAP HANA platform, incorporating advanced systems like e-Procurement, AI tools, IoT, SCADA, Big Data, and DigiFactory, all seamlessly connected to partners such as Tetra Pak.
This year, Betrimex also introduced the Farmer Relationship Management (FRM) platform — a technological bridge that enhances supply chain transparency, boosts productivity, and strengthens collaboration with farmers.
Meanwhile, at TTC AgriS, co-chaired by Uc My, technological advancement continues to shape Vietnam’s agriculture. The company has adopted precision farming models, using digital tools like DigiFarm, DigiFactory, and DigiRetail to synchronize data across cultivation, production, and retail — maximizing efficiency and value creation.
Shaping the Future of Agri-Innovation
Building on the success of CocoNext 2024, Familion highlights Uc My’s forward-thinking vision for Vietnam’s agricultural landscape. Prior to CocoNext, TTC AgriS, under her leadership, successfully organized the annual TTC AgriS Innovation Day, focusing on new technologies in the sugarcane industry.
Looking ahead, she announced the upcoming AgroDay, set for April 2025, which aims to serve as a global platform for investment and knowledge exchange in agricultural science, technology, and economics.
