Gulapa, Indonesia’s premium coconut sugar producer, successfully introduced its coconut-based product innovations to the global market at ISM 2025 in Cologne, Germany, held on February 2-5. The exhibition, known as the largest event in the sweets and snacks industry, set records with more than 1,500 participants from 70 countries and approximately 32,000 visitors from 135 countries.
In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and optimism, Gulapa showcased its range of organic coconut sugar products that garnered significant attention from potential buyers, particularly from the European market.
ISM 2025 demonstrated increasingly strong trends in sustainable, healthy, and functional sweet products – aligning perfectly with Gulapa’s values as an organic coconut sugar producer. Leading retailers such as Aldi, Edeka, Rewe Group, and Spar International were present as visitors, providing Gulapa with opportunities to expand its distribution network across Europe.
This year’s event also featured Lab5 by ISM, which became a visitor attraction by showcasing various innovations from startups and leading producers. Gulapa took part in the “Sweet Week Talks & Tasting” session, presenting the health benefits of coconut sugar as a natural sweetener alternative with a low glycemic index.
This success further establishes Gulapa as a global player in the natural sweetener industry, while paving the way for Indonesian coconut-based products to penetrate international markets that increasingly value natural, sustainable, and healthy products.
